Trinity Industries Receives Large Railcar Order

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1997--Trinity Industries Inc. (NYSE: TRN) today said that it has received an order from TTX Company to build 1,200 intermodal platforms. Trinity said it expects to begin deliveries in August.
Trinity President and Chief Operating Officer Timothy R. Wallace said, "We are pleased by the confidence that TTX has demonstrated in choosing Trinity for this sizable order. Together with the order for 300 bulkhead flatcars that Trinity recently received from TTX, these orders continue the strong relationship between our two companies. We are gratified by TTX's continuing trust in Trinity and recognition of our dependability in product quality and customer service."
