Dynamic Pictures, Nissho Electronics forge alliance to make Dynamic Pictures Oxygen the Leading 3D graphics technology in Japan; Prominent Japanese technology provider invests in Dynamic Pictures

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 5, 1997--Dynamic Pictures, Inc., the leading developer of 2D and 3D graphics acceleration technologies, and Tokyo-based Nissho Electronics Corporation, one of Japan's leading suppliers of advanced information technology products, today announced a strategic relationship intended to promote and distribute the award-winning Dynamic Pictures Oxygen 3D graphics acceleration technology throughout Japan.
As part of this relationship, Nissho Electronics has made an equity investment in Dynamic Pictures, and will serve as the exclusive distributor of Dynamic Pictures' acclaimed Oxygen product family in Japan. Nissho Electronics - which distributes hundreds of computer hardware, software and support products to the Japanese marketplace - expects to generate approximately $20 million annually in Oxygen product sales by 2000. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
