Zoom FaxModems Now Sold at CompUSA; Nation's Largest Computer Retailer Joins Zoom's Retail Channel

BOSTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 8, 1997-- Zoom Telephonics, a leading manufacturer of computer communications equipment, announced today that its faxmodems are being sold by CompUSA, America's Largest Computer Superstore(R) retailer.

Late in 1996 CompUSA tested the sell-through of three Zoom products to gauge demand. Sales and customer satisfaction were strong, and CompUSA has since expanded the Zoom selection to five models in every store.
