CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1997--Greyhound Canada (TSE:GHC.) Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. today announced that Laidlaw Inc. has advised it that approximately 87 percent of the outstanding Greyhound common shares not owned by Laidlaw at the commencement of its offer have been tendered into Laidlaw's offer and that Laidlaw will be taking up and paying for the tendered shares and extending its offer to 6:00 p.m. MDT on October 14, 1997.
