Tillsmith Systems Inc. Selects the Series 500 Integrated Wireless Modems From Motorola for its Electronic Funds Transfer Equipment

ETOBICOKE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1997--Tillsmith Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Keycorp Ltd., ACN 002 519 986, and a leading Canadian designer and manufacturer of electronic funds transfer point of sale (EFTPOS) equipment, announced today that it will integrate the Motorola 505sd Wireless Modem into its ARDIS COMPak.
The COMPak of Tillsmith Systems is a point of sale line of terminals used predominantly in the financial industry.
Motorola, one of the world's leading providers of wireless data subscriber products and infrastructure equipment, was chosen based on their excellent quality standards and customer integration support services. The 505sd modem that Tillsmith will integrate operates on the ARDIS nationwide wireless data network in the United States. The modems operate on DataTAC(R) networks worldwide. One integration effort enables any of the modems to be used in new operating areas without costly and time-consuming redesign. Lightweight, compact and power efficient, the modems are easily integrated into a variety of portable terminals.
