Business Wire, Oct 3, 1997
BURR RIDGE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1997--Context Software Systems Inc. announced today that the International Billing Association Inc. has selected Context's Claims Editor Professional CodeLink and Physician Fee Report products for use by its members.
"It is a privilege to have our core products selected by the nation's preeminent association for third party billers," commented Mark Earles, Context's Sales Director. "By utilizing these products, International Billing Association members can better ensure compliance with the increasingly complex and ever-changing Medicare regulations as well as significantly reduce costs associated with billing."
Context's Claims Editor Professional software program, one of the three product families endorsed by the International Billing Association, edits physician claims for coding, clinical, utilization, regulatory and fee errors prior to submission to third party payers. This Windows(R)-based client/server capable program incorporates extensive edit checks ranging from violations of Medicare regulations to identifying the need to justify medical necessity. The program also flags claims that require additional codes and allows users to correct billing errors before they are submitted.
CodeLink, the second family of products, provides users with immediate access to the complete listing of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9-CM codes and rules. The nation's best selling coding software, CodeLink, contains extensive capabilities that help ensure proper code selection and regulatory compliance. Context's Custom Fee Reports provide usual, customary and reasonable physician fee data as well as Medicare fees in either printed or electronic format. These reports can be used by billers to help their clients negotiate payment rates from third parties and managed care organizations.
"The International Billing Association is pleased that it was able to successfully negotiate favorable terms that allow its members access to Context's superb claims management and coding tools," noted Dave Jakielo, the International Billing Association's president. Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., the International Billing Association is the leading trade association for third party medical billers.
