Olympus Signs Agreement to Bundle InMedia's Slides and Sound with New D-500L and D-600L Zoom Lens Digital Cameras

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 1997-- InMedia Presentation (ME IMD.) InMedia Presentations Inc. (ME:IMD), a leading developer of easy-to-use multimedia presentation software, announced today that Olympus America Inc. has entered into an agreement to bundle InMedia Presentations' Slides & Sound(TM) with the new Olympus D-500L and D-600L MegaPixel 3X zoom lens digital cameras, available in October, 1997.
With InMedia's Slides & Sound, users can create exciting multimedia presentations by combining still images from digital cameras, scanners, PhotoCDs, the Internet or online services, with sound FX, videos, transitions between slides, text, voice-overs and music. Presentations made with Slides & Sound and the new Olympus D-500L and D-600L digital cameras can be displayed on a computer, emailed to family and friends, or broadcast on the Web.
Slides & Sound is also bundled with other Olympus digital products, including the ES-10 film scanner, the industry-leading D-220L and D-320L point and shoot cameras, and now the D-500L and D-600L zoom lens cameras. "With InMedia Slides & Sound and Olympus high-quality images, users can easily create sharp presentations for business applications or entertaining slide shows for fun.", said Dave Veilleux, Director of Marketing, Digital Products, Olympus America Inc., Digital & Imaging Systems Group.

InMedia will bundle the full-featured Slides & Sound Plus with the Olympus D-500L and D-600L for 30 days, after which time it will automatically convert to the lighter version, Slides & Sound. The user will then have the option of upgrading to Slides & Sound Plus for a small fee, or continue using the reduced feature set of Slides & Sound. InMedia's Slides & Sound Plus for Windows and Macintosh is also available separately for $69.95.
