NDS Data Broadcasting To Be Used By Loral's CyberStar

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997--NDS, a leading provider of end-to-end solutions for digital broadcasting, today announced that CyberStar, a Loral Company, will use its Data Broadcasting Network (DBN) solution to offer high bandwidth multimedia services around the globe.

CyberStar, a global broadband satellite based digital communications system, will serve business and consumer markets around the world with solutions and services that will enhance productivity, diminish processing time, and reduce overall communications cost. High speed Internet access, multicast file transfer, and multimedia data streaming are some of the capabilities built into the system. CyberStar services will be delivered through a network of Ku-Ka-band satellites positioned over the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
