Royal Dutch Shell and Honeywell Sign Global Strategic Partnering Agreement

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1997--Honeywell Industrial Automation and Control (IAC) and Shell International B.V. (The Hague, The Netherlands) announced today the signing of a global strategic partnering agreement.
The agreement will take advantage of Honeywell's leadership in control technology, advanced solutions and global capabilities. Honeywell will deliver leading technology solutions to significantly reduce Shell's total cost of ownership for automation solutions and advanced process control.
The strategic partnership with Shell includes Honeywell IAC's vast array of products and services. It provides the benefits derived from joint project development and leveraged expertise of both companies. Rapid implementation and reduced costs will provide accelerated return on investments for Shell.

This agreement is principally available to all of Shell International's Operating Units around the world (Exploration and Production, Oil Products, Gas and Coal, Chemicals and others). The Shell group operates companies in over 100 countries. Through its Operating Companies, Shell manages about a tenth of the world oil and fossil energy industry. Shell makes about a tenth of all oil, coal and gas based chemicals used worldwide.
