Onyx Graphics Enhances PosterShop to Optimize Output from Raster Graphics PiezoPrint 5000 Printers
Business Wire, Sept 2, 1997
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1997--Onyx Graphics Corp., a Raster Graphics company, today announced it has added an enhancement to PosterShop(TM) color production software, designed to optimize output from Raster Graphics PiezoPrint(TM) 5000 large format production inkjet printers. Onyx Graphics is demonstrating PosterShop in booth No. 8256 at Print 97, September 3-10, in Chicago.
This special enhancement in PosterShop improves the image quality and sharpness of PiezoPrint 5000 output through the addition of an advanced dot placement algorithm, which utilizes frequency-modulated (FM) dithering. The image quality improvement is most evident in prints output in the high-speed and standard print modes. PosterShop with the new optimization will be available free of charge to all PiezoPrint 5000 customers; it is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 1997.
