LOS GATOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1997--FlowPoint, Inc., an international provider of remote access networking products, today announced FlowPak for U.S. customers, a complete ISDN Internet access package for small businesses and home offices.
FlowPak includes FlowPoint's award-winning ISDN router, one high-speed digital (ISDN) line from a telecommunications carrier, and an Internet Service Provider (ISP) account from EarthLink Network. FlowPoint, and its partners have specifically tailored FlowPak products and support services to make it easy and affordable for small businesses to step up to high-speed Internet access today.
FlowPak is designed to serve one to twenty Windows PC users simultaneously on an office LAN (local area network). FlowPak connects users to the Internet easily and downloads images and data up to ten times faster than conventional analog lines and modems. Small businesses and workgroups that use the Internet can improve their overall productivity with higher speed digital access.

The high-performance FlowPoint 128 ISDN Router has been optimized for ease of installation and use, particularly for Internet access, with features such as auto-detection of Service Profile IDs (SPID), built-in DHCP Server, Network Address Translation, and Dynamic IP Address Assignment. Small offices with less than six LAN users can add the 2-line POTS option to the FlowPoint 128 and use a standard telephone or fax over the ISDN line while accessing the Internet.

FlowPak is Easy to Order and Install
The complete FlowPak package can be ordered with a sinpically installed within 10 days. The FlowPoint ISDN router is easy to setup and operate. Customers simply connect the FlowPoint router to the ISDN line and a PC witlation usually takes less than 10 minutes. Users dial into their EarthLink Internet Business Service account to begin accessing the Internet immediately.

In most of California, for example, the total start-up cost is $794.75, including ISDN line installation, FlowPoint routely charges for the ISDN line are $35.55 plus uor by calling 1-888-TOP-ISDN (1-888-867-4736). int's Web Store. Customers with an existing ISDN line and ISP who want to upgrade from an ISDN adapter to a router can also purchase a FlowPoint router direct from the Web Store for as low as $499.
