Brio and SQRIBE Announce Worldwide Strategic Partnership; Market Leaders in Business Intelligence and Enterprise Information Delivery Form Alliance to Help Companies Speed Business Decision-Making
Business Wire, Sept 22, 1997
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1997--SQRIBE Technologies, the leading provider of enterprise information delivery and reporting software, and Brio Technology, the enterprise business intelligence company, today announced a strategic marketing and engineering relationship to enhance both companies' enterprise information access and delivery capabilities.
The companies have joined each other's strategic alliance program designed to develop and drive the delivery of data warehouse solutions and ensure customer success.
Brio and SQRIBE plan to integrate the Brio Enterprise product family with SQRIBE's recently introduced ReportMart, an enterprise information-gathering, delivery and distribution solution to provide end-users with easier access to business information, via the World Wide Web and corporate intranets. SQRIBE will also enable SQR, the leading production reporting solution to seamlessly transfer data to Brio's enterprise business intelligence products.
ReportMart, in conjunction with Brio's products, will enable organizations to speed decision-making at all levels and dramatically reduce enterprise integration and maintenance costs at the same time. ReportMart works with any enterprise information system, and therefore leverages existing investments in data warehouses, business intelligence tools and corporate intranets.
"The combination of our companies' technologies helps end-users in an organization more easily and effectively identify, obtain and share the mission-critical information they need to make fast, smart decisions," said Jannell Wei, director of channel and partner marketing at Brio Technology. "SQRIBE's open architecture and Brio's expertise in flexible business intelligence solutions will raise the bar for enterprise information delivery and access."
"Brio's OLAP expertise and SQRIBE's information delivery capabilities are extremely compatible," said Jack Norris, vice president of marketing at SQRIBE. "ReportMart provides a way to integrate these capabilities easily, securely and efficiently."
The integration of the two product families will be demonstrated at Oracle Open World, which is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Sept. 23-25. Visit SQRIBE's Booth No. 942 and Brio's Booth No. 1407.
ReportMart, a 100% Pure Java application, provides end-users open and easy access to all enterprise reports and information regardless of file type or technology platform, from custom data formats to applications, graphics and video.
Brio's enterprise product family is the industry's first all-in-one desktop decision support solution with cross-platform integrated query, multi-dimensional analysis, interactive charting and compound-document reporting capabilities.
