Group Technologies Trunk Encryption Device Receives National Security Agency Endorsement

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1997--Group Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq/NM:GRTK) announced today that it has received a letter of endorsement from the National Security Agency (NSA) for the Communications Security (COMSEC) features of it's KIV-19 Trunk Encryption Device. This device is used to secure U.S. Government information, and was developed under the Commercial COMSEC Endorsement Program (CCEP). As a result of this endorsement, GroupTech is authorized to sell the KIV-19 to U.S. Government departments and agencies, eligible government contractors, and certain other purchasers as authorized by NSA.
