Bridgeport Communications, Formerly TradeLink International, to Launch Communications Magazine

Communications Mag to Hit the Street in 3rd Q 1998

Bridgeport Communications Inc. (OTC:BPOT) announced Wednesday that its publishing subsidiary, Digital Pal Inc., will launch a consumer communications magazine, the working title of which is "C-World."

C-World is expected to premier in the Fall of 1998, pending the fulfillment of certain funding commitments.

Richard Herbst, president of Bridgeport, will be C-World's publisher and editor-in-chief. Herbst founded the publication that became MacUser Magazine, the leading magazine for users of Apple MacIntosh computers, and served as MacUser's first editor. He subsequently published other successful technology magazines, including Computer News International, which was distributed in over 25 countries.

Details of C-World remain confidential, although Herbst indicated that it will be designed for a mass audience of affluent business people and consumers. Initial circulation is expected to exceed 150,000, and will be audited. An on-line zine will be developed simultaneously with the launch.
