Data General Introduces LearnEdge A Comprehensive Knowledge Management System

WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1997-- Data General Corporation's Open Systems Training unit has developed and introduced a new software product named LearnEdge. This powerful client/server knowledge management system provides skills gap analysis, skills tracking, training plans, scheduling, enrollment, evaluation, reports, and many other features.
Among the initial customers for LearnEdge is the State of Colorado Department of Human Services. According to Skip Flewelling, Information Technology Services, "The Department of Human Services needed an integrated system to meet state mandates for tracking training, evaluation, registration, and skills evaluation. LearnEdge uniquely met the vision we had for comprehensive software that would function in our computing environment."
