USCS Extends Customer Management and Billing System Contract With MediaOne; Agreement Encompasses Additional Products and Services

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 1998--USCS International Inc. (NASDAQ:USCS) today announced that its CableData Inc. subsidiary has secured an extension of its customer management and billing contract with MediaOne(R) (NYSE:UMG), the nation's third-largest multiple system operator.
The multi-year agreement extends MediaOne's use of CableData's industry-leading customer management and billing products and services to serve its cable television subscribers nationwide.

The CableData-MediaOne agreement also includes additional and advanced products and services such as: -0-
-- Expansion of MediaOne's high-speed data services, using its
customization of CableData's HSDS architecture and provisioning
software. MediaOne was a pioneer and remains a leader in offering
high-speed data services nation-wide;
-- Joint testing of a MediaOne-developed, customized graphical user
interface (GUI) to the CableData system that will facilitate
MediaOne's customer care operations;
-- Joint testing of a MediaOne work force management application
based on CableData's MobileVantage(TM) interface, and;
-- Use of CableData's credit interface to pre-qualify subscribers
and CableData's electronic funds transfer interface to roll out
EFTS capabilities.
