GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1998--W. R. Berkley Corporation announced that the Board of Directors had declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $.12 per share to be paid on October 1, 1998 to stockholders of record at the close of business on September 18, 1998.
W. R. Berkley Corporation is a holding company which, through its subsidiaries, operates in all segments of the property casualty insurance industry. The operating units are grouped for management purposes in five segments according to market served: Regional Property Casualty Insurance, Reinsurance, Specialty Insurance, Alternative Markets and International. Its common stock is traded over-the-counter on the NASDAQ system (symbol: BKLY).
