NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 13, 1998--PennCorp Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: PFG) announced today that it has rescheduled its earnings announcement for the second quarter ended June 30, 1998.
The Company stated that the rescheduling of the Company's second quarter earnings release relates to the contemplated receipt of proposals for the purchase of the Company's Career Sales Division.
PennCorp Financial Group, Inc. is an insurance holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the Company underwrites and markets life insurance and accident and sickness insurance to the middle market through the United States and Canada.
