Crystal Systems Solutions Expands Working Relationship With Ford Motor Company
Business Wire, August 18, 1998
HERZILIYA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1998--Crystal Systems Solutions (Nasdaq: CRYSF), a leading provider of software conversion tools and services, today announced an expansion of its working relationship with Ford Motor Company beyond its Y2K conversion business. Using its proprietary conversion technology, Crystal will be assisting in a sophisticated conversion project that requires the identification, and removal, of specific digits from a particular data field.
In this "Realignment Re-Engineering" project, Ford desires to pinpoint and remove the regional sales code that is embedded in the dealer code. The task involves scanning millions of lines of code for the dealer data field, identifying the regional code section of the number, and excising it. Crystal will employ its C-MILL tool to perform this difficult task.
Crystal Systems Solutions has recently very successfully completed a multitude of conversion projects for Ford Motor Company, including the year 2000 conversion and Verification Services. "Our technology and its multitude of applications allows us to leverage existing clients for a wide variety of conversion projects, as well as attract new clients." says Amiram Mel, CEO of Crystal Systems Solutions. "Crystal has been performing conversion for the past decade and will continue doing so well into the next millennium." Crystal Systems Solutions conversion technology supports multiple legacy languages and database platforms giving Crystal the advantage of being a one-stop conversion center for its clients.
