CTG and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon Develop a Prescription for Millennium Bug

BUFFALO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 1998--CTG (Computer Task Group)(NYSE:TSK), a $440 million information technology (IT) services company, announced today that it has been providing Year 2000 (Y2K) conversion services for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon (Regence BCBSO), a not-for-profit health care service contractor.
Y2K will seriously impact organizations that rely on information technology. With thirty years' experience in conversions and migrations, CTG is prepared to face the 21st century head-on, offering Y2K compliance services through all of its 55 offices in North America and Europe.
Regence BCBSO initiated its Y2K effort during the fourth quarter of 1996. The company contracted with CTG to supply IT professionals to support its Y2K effort. Regence BCBSO estimates that its total Y2K project cost will exceed $30 million.
Currently, 140 CTG and Regence BCBSO professionals, ranging from system engineers to project managers, are supporting Regence BCBSO's Y2K efforts. CTG's Millennium Services Team is supplying additional project review services to help define the scope, deliverables, organization and the role of the Y2K project at Regence BCBSO.
