REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1998--Beginning Sept. 1, SegaSoft's HEAT.NET Internet Game Network (www.heat.net) will sponsor theglobe.com's gaming area.
The sponsorship will kick-off with the availability of three HEAT.NET exclusives available for download. The titles include the demo of Activision's Sin; the full version of SegaSoft's Net Fighter; and the demo version of SegaSoft's Plane Crazy. Members of theglobe.com will be able to compete against live competition in gaming tournaments with other members, or can play alone against the computer.
All three games from HEAT.NET at theglobe.com will be free of charge for members to play and to download.

The Games
Activision's highly anticipated Sin is the newest exclusive multiplayer title to join the HEAT.NET line-up. Sin is the fully integrated first-person experience brought to you by the greatest level designers in the industry. Sin features a character-driven story and revolutionary multiplayer gameplay powered by an enhanced Quake II engine.
Members can feel like Bruce Lee in the full version of SegaSoft's Net Fighter, the hand-to-hand fighting game developed specifically for the Internet only on HEAT.NET. One to two players choose from eight distinct, beautifully rendered characters, each with their own martial arts fighting style and realistic moves.
SegaSoft's Plane Crazy is a 3-D stunt flying game that combines the thrill of high-speed racing with stunt flying. One to eight players can choose from three customizable planes and face realistic weather challenges including crosswinds, downdrafts and obstacles achieved through animation. Players can race up to seven other speed freaks online or against the computer in this one-level demo.
The next HEAT.NET exclusive to be featured at theglobe.com will be the demo of SegaSoft's Vigilance, which puts players at the center of intense action, real world scenarios and counter-terrorism missions. Single and multiplayer 3D action is brought to life by the photorealistic images of the groundbreaking AnyWorld 3D engine.
