Xcel Associates Aquires 3% of EMB Corporation
Business Wire, August 27, 1998
HAZLET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1998--Edward T. Whelan, President of Xcel Associates, Inc., announced today that they have acquired approximately 3% of EMB Corporation (OTCBB:EMBU).
Mr. Whelan went on to say they would continue to accumulate EMBU. After attending the Investor Conference in New York this week sponsored by THE AGGRESSIVE SEASONED INVESTOR, THOMAS J. HANLON, 914-337-6488. Mr. Whelan stated "since beginning our due diligence in May of this year the more exposure we have to EMB Corporation and their personnel the more we want to own EMBU for the long term."
At the Investor Conference Mr. James E. Shipley, President and CEO, EMB Corporation, along with other members of the management team presented EMB to the New York financial community. The presentation was made to Investors, Fund Managers, Investment Bankers, and Retail Brokers. The new software, "TRAkkER", introduced at the conference will not only revolutionize the mortgage business as EMB predicts but we believe that "TRAkkER should make EMBU a major Internet player with real time processing. We are not aware of any system on the Internet today that can underwrite a loan in real time. With a Trillion Dollars in US based mortgages annually EMB has the potential to explode in traditional mortgages and the potential Internet processing of mortgages.
"TRAkkER" will be able to reach out and bring in the client's credit report, "on the fly if you will", in a matter of minutes. "TRAkkER" will not only process and underwrite the loan to EMB's unique guidelines, but it will provide the client a loan that he/she can qualify for instantaneously." "TRAkkER" could and should eliminate the tedious paper work.
EMB Corporation yesterday reported Loan Fundings that exceeded Forty Million Dollars in July and estimated earnings of $0.04 per share for the month of July alone. Xcel believes that EMB is ready for an earnings explosion, in this the fourth quarter earnings should be $0.10-$0.12 per share. With EMB's goal of reaching monthly fundings of One Hundred Million Dollars per month, early next year. We believe at that level EMBU could have an EPS of $0.10 per month, annualized EPS of $1.20. Xcel believes that in a year's time we are looking at a $10.00 - $12.00 stock.
