Canon Canada's OE Division in Discussions to Exclusively Distribute YARC's XP-600e Color Server

NEWBURY PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1998--YARC Systems Corp. (OTC BB:YARC) Friday reported that it was in discussions with the OE (Office Equipment) division of Canon Canada to exclusively distribute the YARC XP-600e Color Server in Eastern Canada.
A formal announcement regarding the scope of any alliance will be be made in the very near future.
The OE division of Canon Canada is North America's largest office-equipment distributor, with offices in Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.
"Until recently, YARC has only been seen as a supplier to the high-end of the digital printing industry," said Dr. Trevor Marshall, chairman and chief executive officer of YARC. "However, OE is focused on sales to the corporate sector. We are delighted that they are evaluating our new color servers."
