3Dfx, Sega, NEC and VideoLogic Settle 3Dfx Lawsuit

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1998--3Dfx Interactive Inc.; Sega Enterprises, Ltd.; Sega of America, Inc.; NEC Corporation; and VideoLogic, Plc. today announced that an agreement in principle has been reached to settle the lawsuit 3Dfx Interactive brought against Sega, NEC and VideoLogic over Sega's termination of a development contract with 3Dfx Interactive for Sega's next-generation game console.

On Sept. 2, 1997, 3Dfx Interactive announced that it had brought suit against Sega and NEC and later amended its legal complaint to add VideoLogic. The terms of the settlement will remain confidential, but the parties are pleased to have successfully resolved the matter.
