BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 1998--
Noble Metal Forming Receives Recommendation for QS-9000 Registration
Noble International, Ltd. (AMEX:NIL) announced today that its subsidiary Noble Metal Products, Inc. has changed its name to Noble Metal Forming, Inc. (NMF).
Noble Metal Forming provides high quality metal-stamped parts and assemblies to both OEM's and Tier I suppliers. In addition to its stamping services, NMF also provides services such as resistance welding and laser welding, the latter of which is unique to the stamping industry. NMF strives to provide full service capabilities by investing in alternative process technologies and continually improving the quality of its products. Sophisticated management controls and production efficiencies ensure NMF's efficiency and quality.
In another development, on July 29, 1998, NMF was recommended for QS-9000 registration by KPMG, based out of Short Hills, NJ. Registration requires participating suppliers to establish, document and implement quality systems based on the standards set forth by Quality System Requirements QS-9000.
NMF President, James Kopek, said, "NMF's myriad of services expands beyond stamping and reaches to the very forming of metal that will become future automobile parts and assemblies. We feel our new name, Noble Metal Forming, more accurately reflects the type of work we do. We are also pleased that our commitment to quality has been verified by our recommendation for QS-9000 registration. Both the name change and our recent nomination for QS-9000 are reflective of Noble's growing name awareness within the industry."
