Business Wire, August 7, 1998

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 1998--Internet Specialties West Inc. (ISWest) Friday announced that Goodwill Industries of Orange County has chosen Internet Specialties West to build a more complex and feature-rich ISP for the subsidiary Kruzin Internet.

Goodwill Industries of Orange County, DBA Kruzin Internet Services, is going Web savvy by becoming an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Goodwill states that its ISP will be geared toward providing disabled people the opportunity to achieve the highest level of personal and economic growth.

Goodwill Industries did not acquire this technology overnight. Actually, it recently announced that ISWest, located in Westlake Village, would be building its state-of-the-art Web servers. This long-term working relationship ranges from a secure on-line transaction server, FrontPage server, E-mail server, Firewall, Web statistics, and more.

ISWest was chosen by Goodwill Industries based on its reputation in the industry, including Internet infrastructure recently built for two local governments -- Agoura Hills City Hall and Westlake Village City Hall.

Drew J. Kaplan, vice president of ISWest, said: "We are very proud of the recent growth of our company and will continue to grow through acquisitions of other smaller ISPs or IPPs. The recent contract with Goodwill is just another feather on our cap."

ISWest is a privately owned fully equipped Internet Service Provider, offering the fastest and most reliable connectivity in the business. ISWest maintains a DS-3 hub (Digital Signal Level 3) and fully redundant SONET fiber-optic connections.
