Saga's 'Renowned' DCOM Expert, Eben Schoeman, Promoted to Director of Technology

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 1998--Citing him as one of the top experts on Microsoft's Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM), SAGA SOFTWARE Inc. Chief Technology Officer David Linthicum announced Eben Schoeman has been named to the position of Director of Technology.
A 15-year veteran in design and development of systems for distributed computing environments and a frequent speaker at developer conferences worldwide, Schoeman has held several technical leadership positions at SAGA, concentrating on middleware and component technologies.
He is currently responsible for product development strategy at SAGA, and in his new role, will also be in charge of working with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing and Professional Services as well as selecting and analyzing technology for acquisition or further development.
His accomplishments at SAGA include designing the company's worldwide local and wide area network infrastructures while also providing guidance on SAGA's product strategy.
