Jon van Bronkhorst Joins as Executive Vice President; Tim Sutton
Joins as Vice President; Karen Seifert and Judy Plummer Promoted to
Vice President
Al Shugart International (ASI), a corporation focused on staging start up companies for success, today announced a series of executive appointments designed to position the company for growth.
Jon van Bronkhorst and Tim Sutton have joined ASI as executive vice president and vice president respectively, and Karen Seifert and Judy Plummer have been promoted to vice president.
About Jon van Bronkhorst
Jon van Bronkhorst has more than 15 years of experience in business management and development. After graduating from the Menlo School of Business Administration in 1983, he joined ROLM Corp., where he held financial and senior analyst positions. In 1988, van Bronkhorst joined Seagate Technology as director of investor relations, where he initiated and developed Seagate's investor relations program.
After leaving Seagate in 1994, van Bronkhorst became vice president and senior research analyst at Robertson Stephens & Co., a position he held until 1997, when he joined HMT Technology as vice president, Business Development. At HMT, van Bronkhorst played a developmental role in building the company for the future, including analysis of merger and acquisition opportunities.
Most recently, van Bronkhorst held the position of vice president and senior research analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co., covering the data storage industry.
About Tim Sutton
Tim Sutton joins ASI from Seagate Technology, where he has held a variety of positions including marketing technology writer, product and technology specialist, and financial analyst. Most recently, Sutton held the position of manager, Corporate Development, where he was responsible for managing competitive analysis projects, assisting and implementing strategic mergers, acquisitions and alliances, and developing merger and acquisition process packages.
About Karen Seifert
Formerly director of Administration for ASI, Karen Seifert is responsible for all aspects of administration, including facilities management, purchase and set up of capital equipment, vendor relations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, scheduling, and coordination of high profile events and activities.
About Judy Plummer
Formerly director of Communications for ASI, Judy Plummer is responsible for the company's press activity. In addition, Plummer will provide communications guidance to start up companies who desire assistance in developing a media relations program.
