NEC Computer Systems Division to Offer Latest Windows CE Operating System for Popular MobilePro 750C H/PC

ROM Kit Will Allow MobilePro 750C H/PC Users to Easily Upgrade to
Microsoft Windows CE Handheld PC Professional Edition
NEC Computer Systems Division (NEC CSD) today announced an upgrade kit that will allow MobilePro 750C Handheld PC (H/PC) customers to upgrade their systems from Windows CE 2.0 to Microsoft Windows CE Handheld PC Professional Edition, the latest operating system (OS) available for H/PCs.
The kit consists of a CD with Windows CE Services 2.2, and a ROM module that contains the embedded OS and simply replaces the unit's current ROM module. The kits will be available in" said Michael DeNeffe, product line director for NEC CSD's mobile products group. "By making the upgrade ROM kit available we are allowing users who have come to rely onating system for the H/PC and enjoy all of the provements, including a new email client, enhancp.
"By offering an upgrade ROM kit for thee MobilePro 750C H/PC upgrade kit will be available in Q1 1999 for approximately $149 through NEC CSD directly at 888/863-2669 or www.nec-computers.com, or through selected resellers.
