HP Covision Program Members Total 81 in Only Six Months; 12 New Partners Join Internet Application Vendors, VARs and ISPs to Bring Integrated Internet Solutions to Customers

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1998-- Hewlett-Packard Company today announced that the Covision program, which brings together leading Internet applications, HP technology and Internet-ready channel partners to provide integrated Internet solutions, has developed alliances with 81 leading Internet application companies and channel partners since its worldwide launch in June. Today, seven new Internet application partners and five channel partners joined the 69 existing partners to provide customers with Internet solutions.
"Covision's first six months have generated a phenomenal response in the industry, and the program has grown much faster than we anticipated," said Greg Mihran, director of Internet business development for HP's Personal Systems Group. "The partners announced today further broaden the range of technology and services we are able to offer our customers."
The Covision program integrates leading Internet-based applications, HP computer technology and services from select Internet-ready resellers, systems integrators and ISPs to provide customers with the products and services they need for success on the Internet.

Application Partner Portfolios Expanded
The Covision application partners announced today provide solutions relating to performance management, connectivity, Web development, information delivery and knowledge management. The new Covision application partners are as follows: -0-
e2 Software Corp. -- e-mail communications and management
software that helps companies manage, respond and reach out to
Internet customers via sales, marketing, customer service and
support;
GTE Cyber Trust -- public key infrastructure (PKI) solutions
that allow businesses to trust commerce on the Internet;
HAHT Software, Inc. -- a massively scalable application server
and implementation services that extend critical customer,
supplier, and employee-business processes to the Web for SAP R/3
customers and other Global 2000 organizations;
Infoseek Corp. -- Ultraseek Server software that provides
search and navigation for companies' intranet, extranet or public
Web sites;
JSB Software Technologies surfCONTROL -- a family of products
to monitor, control, report and manage Internet and intranet
services;
Partnerware Technologies, Inc. -- Web-based partner relationship
management and channel program automation software that enables
manufacturers, channel partners and their customers to share and
leverage information across the extended selling enterprise; and
RedCreek Communications -- virtual private network (VPN) products
to ensure privacy of information as it is transmitted over
private and public networks and provide secure access to
corporate resources.
Additional VARs and ISPs Join Channel Partner Portfolios
Today, three new VARs and two new ISPs joined the Covision channel program to provide the services, support and Internet access required by customers. The channel partners introduced today are as follows: -0-

outsourcing of elements designed specifically for
Internet-centric companies;
Intervision Systems Technologies, Inc. -- product and services
to help companies with high bandwidth co-location hosting and
automation of data delivery for fast efficient UNIX(R) and
Windows NT(R) solutions;
Melillo Consulting, Inc. -- an HP "Best in Class" master level
reseller with full-service systems integration, software
development and data-management consulting;
Prodigy Communications Corp. -- nationwide Internet service
providing customers with fast, reliable access; and
Treblig Technologies, an Eakins Associate Company --
full-service reseller providing Internet integration capabilities
for the network.
