J. Lacey Lewis Promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Cox Interactive Media

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1998--Cox Interactive Media (CIMedia), the most popular network of local sites on the Internet, announced today that J. Lacey Lewis has been promoted to vice president and chief financial officer.
In her new position, Lewis will continue to lead the financial affairs of CIMedia, a responsibility she assumed when she joined CIMedia as director of finance in April 1998.
"Lacey's promotion is a direct result of her outstanding financial, operational and analytic skills," said Peter Winter, president of CIMedia. A respected business operations veteran, Lewis has a history of service to Cox. Prior to joining CIMedia, she was director of business operations for Cox Communications, Inc. (CCI) since 1990. In that capacity, she contributed to the overall direction of CCI, including financial and operational functions, public and governmental relations, marketing and sales, customer service, programming and human resources.
Lewis joined Cox Enterprises in 1984 as an assistant senior auditor. She was promoted to senior auditor in 1985, to internal audit manager in 1987 and to CCI director of business operations in 1990. Prior to joining Cox, Lewis was a senior accountant for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in Atlanta.
A cum laude graduate of Auburn University, Auburn, Ala., Lewis holds a B.S.B.A. in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In 1996, she completed the executive development consortium for senior managers at the Goizueta Business School, Emory University.
