Business Wire, Dec 16, 1998
RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1998--
VBA Enhances Customization of the Premiere Bug-Tracking System for the
Microsoft Development Environment
Elsinore Technologies, Inc. announces today that it will integrate Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) into future Visual Intercept products. Visual Intercept is the only software bug tracking system that is project-oriented, scaleable, and optimized for Microsoft visual tool users. The application allows users to create deep hierarchies of projects and subprojects for categorizing their bugs. Integrating VBA will help users customize Visual Intercept to fit p recisely with their specific bug tracking and reporting needs.
"Given Elsinore's strong grasp of Microsoft's core technologies, Visual Intercept's integration of VBA is a natural synergy," said Neil Charney, lead product manager for VBA at Microsoft Corp. "With VBA in Visual Intercept, Elsinore's customers will benefit from a rich and fully customizable development environment."
"Through this relationship, developers will have much more control over the look and feel of the Visual Intercept system," explains Mark Uland, Chief Software Architect at Elsinore. "Users will have more interface control, and will be able to build custom rules and forms, as well as triggered events. Because VBA is the premier technology for building integrated Office and BackOffice applications, Visual Intercept is taking its place as a part of the complete Microsoft solution for developers."
"This agreement is yet another sign that Visual Intercept is the default choice for bug-tracking within the Microsoft environment," states August Turak, president of Elsinore Technologies. "Elsinore has, and will continue to prove its commitment to the Microsoft development environment".
