Kodak Names David Hardie and Jaime Cohen To Consumer Marketing Leadership Posts

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1998--Eastman Kodak Company has strengthened its Consumer Imaging marketing leadership with the appointment of two new executives. David Hardie has been named general manager and vice president, Marketing for the U.S. and Canada Region, and Jaime Cohen is general manager, Marketing for the Latin American Region.
In this capacity, Hardie and Cohen are responsible for business strategy, advertising, promotion, packaging, new products, and customer marketing for Kodak film, cameras, processing and related consumer offerings.
"Dave Hardie brings considerable consumer-packaged-goods experience to Kodak," said Jerome W. Johnson, general manager and vice president, U.S. and Canada Region. "His understanding of consumer needs, the value of brand, and channel management will strengthen the leadership of our marketing team."
Prior to joining Kodak, Hardie was vice president of sweet snacks with Nabisco Biscuit Company, responsible for marketing Nabisco's family of leading cookie brands. From 1992 to 1996, he was vice president of Marketing for two divisions with Borden, Inc. Before that, he was director of Marketing for E. & J. Gallo Winery. He began his marketing career in 1980 with Procter & Gamble.
Hardie, 40, was graduated from Duke University with highest honors.
Cohen joined Kodak from S.C. Johnson Wax in Venezuela where since Nov. 1996 he was marketing director for the Andean Cluster, including Venezuela, Colombia, Equador, and Peru. His responsibilities included acquisitions and management of the portfolio strategy. From 1994 to 1996, Cohen was group product manager for the Automotive, Air and Fabric Care categories, stationed in Brazil. From 1990 to 1994, Cohen was group manager for Procter & Gamble in Brazil, responsible for soaps and colognes.

A citizen of Brazil, Cohen, 36, will be located in Miami, Fla.
