MORRISTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1998--
-Award Honors the AT&T Pension Intranet Site Designed by LDS-
Logical Design Solutions, Inc. (LDS), a leading Web integrator, today announced that The Web Marketing Association has named LDS as a winner of the 1998 WebAward competition for corporate web sites.
Logical Design Solutions was honored for its design and implementation of AT&T's Pension Information Center, a secured intranet. The AT&T Pension Information Center offers AT&T employees easy access to the AT&T cash balance pension plan. Personalization of the site is driven by demographic information such as age, hire date, vesting status, or participation status. The AT&T Pension Information Center is part of AT&T's Benefits Connection Web site, which provides overall "life events" functionality.
Over 500 sites from around the world were judged by the Web Marketing Association during this year's competition. Entries were judged based on design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and use of technology.
"Winners of the 1998 WebAwards represent some of the best interactive design shops and in-house corporate departments working to extend their brands to the Internet," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "Marketing on the Internet is a competitive environment and simply being there is not enough. The WebAwards winners combined design, innovation and technology to meet specific marketing objectives. The WebAwards were created to highlight the individuals and companies leading the way in the creation of corporate Web sites that provide a well rounded experience for Internet users."
He continued, "Overall, the LDS designed Web application for AT&T is functional, pertinent and well done."
"LDS is pleased to accept a 1998 WebAward from the Web Marketing Association," said Mimi Brooks, president and CEO of Logical Design Solutions. "We know the competition for the WebAwards was quite intense and both LDS and AT&T are honored by this recognition."
