Instron Corporation Fixes Date for Annual Meeting

CANTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 1998--The Board of Directors of Instron Corporation has fixed March 19, 1999 as the record date for the Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting of Stockholders is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 12, 1999. At the Annual Meeting, stockholders will elect a Class of Directors (2 persons) to serve until the Company's 2002 Annual Meeting of Stockholders and consider and act upon any other matters which may properly come before the Annual Meeting.
