Business Wire, July 14, 1998
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1998--
InConcert, Inc. Continues to Form Strategic Alliances to Improve Global Companies' Complex Business Processes
InConcert, Inc. has joined forces with Lucent Technologies Business Communications Services UK (Lucent BCS UK) to integrate its process-centric workflow technology with Lucent's call center application. The agreement advances InConcert's corporate strategy of partnering with other key solutions providers to supply industry-specific solutions for complex business problems.
When companies can identify and remove process bottlenecks in their business processes, they can increase productivity within their call centers as well as improve organizational efficiency, reduce time and costs associated with completing tasks; and promote departmental collaboration. "Lucent Technologies has tremendous expertise in communications infrastructures and call center business solutions. This agreement is an important opportunity to further penetrate the telecommunications and public sector markets," said Ulrich Wenz, European general manager, InConcert, Inc.
"Workflow management is a key technology in call center applications," said Lucent Technologies BCS UK managing director Ron Griffiths. "Distributing InConcert's software provides us with a stronger offering, particularly in the public and telecommunications sectors, where we are actively looking to increase our market share. This agreement is a core element of Lucent's strategic direction, which is to provide open interfaces and best-in-class turnkey solutions."
