FT/S&P Actuaries World Index - Treatment of Merger of Waste Management and USA Waste Services

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--The FT/S&P Actuaries World Indices Policy Committee announces that subject to confirmation of the merger of Waste Management (USA) and USA Waste Services, Waste Management will be deleted from the World Index on 16 July 1998. The surviving company USA Waste Services will be renamed Waste Management, Inc. (New) and its shares adjusted accordingly.
