MV Technical Sales Named Exclusive Authorized Reseller for LTX 77/90, CP100, and Trillium Master Series Test Systems

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 16, 1998--MV Technical Sales, LLC (MVTS) based in Carlsbad, Calif. and LTX Corporation (NASDAQ:LTXX) of Westwood, Mass. have entered into a letter of intent relating to LTX77/90, CP100 and Trillium Master Series test systems.
At the closing of the transaction, MVTS will be named the Exclusive Authorized Reseller of LTX 77/90, CP100, and Trillium Master Test Systems and spares. LTX Corporation will continue to offer Service Contracts to users of LTX 77/90 Series and Trillium Master Series Systems and will work in close cooperation with MVTS to provide the service. This alliance will allow for continued availability of test systems, spares, and service for the LTX 77/90 Series and Master Series Test System users.

As part of the agreement MVTS has also acquired the rights for the CP100 product line. MVTS will continue to offer the CP100 product in addition to its MV200, a Windows NT replacement CPU for the CP80 and CP90 processors. The MV200 is Year 2000 compliant and has a proven installed customer base. The MV200 will be available for demonstration in the MVTS booth at Semicon West in San Jose, Parkside Hall Booth No. 14124.
In consideration of the rights that will be granted to MVTS, LTX will be paid royalties on sales of test systems by MVTS.
MVTS has the option to purchase existing LTX inventory related to 77/90 test system from LTX Corporation, including custom components, to enable refurbishment and repair of the LTX 77/90 and Master Series Test Systems. The MVTS ATE Parts Catalog includes upgrades and enhancement products for LTX 77/90 Series and Trillium Master Series Test Systems. These products will continue to be provided by MVTS.
