About Thin-Client/Server Computing

Thin-client/server computing is a model in which applications are deployed, managed, supported, and executed 100% on a server. Thin-client/server computing offers the benefits of better manageability, access, performance and security, reducing the total cost of application ownership. Client devices, whether fat or thin, have instant access to business-critical applications via the server without application rewrites or downloads. Thin-client/server computing facilitates rapid application deployment to enable organizations to gain a technological competitive advantage. It also can help maximize return on investment by leveraging existing computing infrastructure.
