Business Wire, June 1, 1998
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1998--Trillium Digital Systems Inc., a leading provider of communications software solutions, announced a solution that enables the seamless portation of Trillium's protocol source code software to Microsoft Windows NT.
Trillium's solution for Windows NT will enable computer and communications equipment manufacturers to deliver their products to customers faster and more cost-effectively.
Trillium's new Multi-threaded Systems Services (MTSS) software for Windows NT provides interface functions to Microsoft Windows NT. It enables the execution of any Trillium software product on a Windows NT 4.x Workstation or Server. Because all Trillium products are based on the consistent Trillium Advanced Portability Architecture (TAPA), this new Trillium software works seamlessly with all of Trillium's broad range of software products.
"Windows NT Server is today being used widely as a base platform for delivering and managing telecommunications services,"said Jonathan Usher, telecom industry marketing manager for Microsoft. "Trillium's Multi-threaded Systems Services reflects this momentum and has the potential to help reduce time to market for equipment manufacturers as they bring Windows NT Server-based telecommunications solutions to market."
Trillium Chief Technology Officer Larisa Chistyakov said: "Windows NT is a cost-effective solution for a variety of products, including open platforms, manufactured by our customers. Our MTSS software is part of our continuing effort to help our customers build products using Windows NT.
"It will form the basis for several upcoming products that are currently in development at Trillium, and, naturally, we will continue to develop software solutions for current and future versions of the Windows NT environment," added Chistyakov.
