Insurdata Acquires Satellite Image Systems, LLC

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1998--Insurdata Incorporated, a leading provider of technology solutions and services to the claims and administration segment of the healthcare industry, today announced that it has acquired 100 percent ownership of Satellite Image Systems, LLC (SIS).
In 1997, Insurdata acquired majority ownership of the Salt Lake City, Utah-based company. Insurdata has now acquired the minority interest of Magellan Technology (OTC:MGLN).
SIS is a leading provider of image-based data conversion services, supporting the conversion of paper claim forms to electronic claims without the need for manual preprocessing. The company processes medical claims for a variety of major insurance providers, including Aetna Insurance Company, and several Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans.
