Business Wire, June 11, 1998

MATTHEWS, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 1998--Vital Living Products, Inc. (VLPI) dba American Water Service announced today that PurTest(tm), a line of do-it-yourself home water test kits continue to set new records in product distribution. PurTest(tm) is now available nationwide. Retailers stocking PurTest(tm) include Ace Hardware, Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse and Home Depot plus several regional retailers.

American Water Service President and CEO, Don Podrebarac was quoted saying, "We have just received our first PurTest(tm) orders from Hechinger and Walgreens for immediate distribution through their warehouses." He continued saying, "American Stores has advised us that they are going to be setting up PurTest(tm) products in Lucky's, Savon, Jewel, Osco and Acme Stores. Because PurTest(tm) is now being stocked by so many companies it is easier for consumers to make informed water treatment decisions instead of relying on a sales person to tell them what they need."

Podrebarac also stated, "more consumer publications are writing about PurTest(tm) and the importance of testing your own water. The Wholesaler magazine is highlighting the PurTest(tm) Home Water Analysis Kit in the Product News section of the June issue, Discount Merchandiser is again including PurTest(tm) in an article about water testing products in the July issue and E The Environmental Magazine is featuring the kit in the New & Different section of the September/October issue."
