These solutions allow companies to control who has access to host data and information, what hosts and applications users have access to once they are allowed into the system, and how these users keep current with new versions of software.
"Attachmate is very committed to working with partners such as Citrix to provide lower total cost of ownership through centralized application management and deployment," said Bill Patterson, senior vice president at Attachmate. "Citrix MetaFrame complements our expertise with server-based solutions for host access and management."
"We know that users today are concerned with reducing the cost of computing," said Bob Gardner, director of OEM and channel sales for Citrix. "Attachmate's host access management solutions provide many options for users seeking enhanced security and management of host connections while meeting the specialized consulting and support needs of enterprise customers."
The companies are working together to bring this innovative thinking to new technologies to again make networks as efficient as possible while increasing end-users' productivity and IT's ability to manage systems.
