Business Wire, June 22, 1998
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1998-- Hewlett-Packard Company today unveiled a portfolio of alliances with key Internet-ready distributors, resellers, systems integrators and Internet service providers (ISPs) as part of HP's new Covision program. (See today's related announcement "HP Delivers Covision Solutions Through Channel Partners to Help Customers Utilize the Internet.")
These channel partners will provide businesses with focused Internet solutions and services, from basic connectivity to sophisticated electronic-commerce applications.
The HP Covision program enables select channel partners to develop customized combinations of leading Internet applications and compatible HP products, such as HP NetServer systems, desktops and printers.
"Applications and products are only a portion of a total Internet solution," said Becky Roller, Internet channels manager for HP's Commercial Channels Organization. "When customers implement a new Internet-based enhancement for their businesses, they need quality consulting, integration and ongoing connectivity as well. The Internet expertise and specialized services offered by Covision channel partners will ensure that our customers get the most complete solutions for their Internet needs."
The Covision program gives channel partners access to a portfolio of Internet software and hardware, along with specialized training and marketing support. As a result, channel partners gain a significant time-to-market advantage.
