The EENewsFind Streamlines Information, Eliminates Time-Consuming
Research, Organizes Information by Structure and Content
QuestLink Technology today announced the addition of a filtered newsgroup search to its engineering website. The EENewsFind (http://www.questlink.com) is targeted to engineers looking to shorten design cycle time by narrowing their search to newsgroup topics which are fitting and relevant. Deja News Inc. provides the search engine, which is used to organize, index and archive content for engineers.
"Engineering terms such as microprocessor, Pentium and local area network are used broadly in discussion groups. We have taken the powerful search engine technology from Deja News and narrowed the information into design-related topics we feel are most beneficial to the engineering community," said John Merritt, vice president of product planning for QuestLink. "Engineers working on design projects do not want to search through job postings, computers for sale or simple personal computer questions. The EENewsFind gives engineers access to meaningful newsgroup archives and discussions. These archives contain information on problems or questions relevant to products and the design cycle."
The EENewsFind is the newest feature to be added to QuestLink's EE Design Center. The EE Design Center is primarily intended to help engineers research, select and purchase ICs for product and systems design. The EE Design Center offers users a complete reference list of industry devices as well as the latest in technical data, documentation and software. The site's services include the IC Index, Board Index, Manufacturer Index, Discrete Index and Online Order Service.
Austin-based QuestLink was formed in July 1995. The QuestLink site serves design engineers by providing the most current and comprehensive source of technical reference information, design tools, software and product samples via the EE Design Center. For more information, visit the QuestLink Web site at http://www.questlink.com.
