Business Wire, June 24, 1998
KETCHUM, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1998--Aqua Vie Beverage Corp. (OTC:AVBC), announced today that it had reached an agreement with Howard E. Coy, whereby Coy will become Aqua Vie's exclusive representative for Aqua Vie's Hydrator(TM) product line in Southern California and Nevada.
Coy has over 25 years of experience in the beverage industry, most recently as the sales manager for the Barron Pacific Group Inc./Sahara Bottled Water. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for Bear Specialty & Marketing, the founder of Sahara Bottled Water.
Coy is credited with directing the sales and marketing of Sahara Bottled Water, and building the Sahara Label into the No. 1 bottled water in the Southern California and Nevada's broad market accounts.
Prior to his involvement with the Sahara Brand, Coy worked for Seven Up San Diego for 20 years. His many job descriptions included off truck delivery sales, sales rep., and area sales manager.
In commenting on theannouncement, Tom Gillespie, founder of Aqua Vie, said, "I'm excited that Howard has decided to join Aqua Vie. I followed his progress in his development of the Sahara brand, in the most competitive market in the U.S. He has a hands-on style, and is highly capable at swift, strategic marketing execution. He is a very positive asset to Aqua Vie in these markets, as well as to Aqua Vie's national distribution plan.
Coy said, "I watched Aqua Vie during its early development, and I personally tested the new all-natural products. With the drive Tom has shown in bringing this company back to its shareholders, and the contacts and experience that I developed with Sahara, I truly believe Aqua Vie's time has come, and that it will dominate its category on a national scale, within the next 12 months."
