National Instruments Software and Hardware Products Available TODAY for PCs Running Microsoft Windows 98

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1998--National Instruments (NASDAQ:NATI) announced today that its software and hardware products for measurement and automation applications are compatible with the Microsoft(tm) Windows(tm) 98 operating system.
National Instruments application software products -- such as LabVIEW(tm) and LabWindows(tm)/CVI for measurement applications and BridgeVIEW(tm) and Lookout(tm) for industrial automation applications -- deliver backward compatibility with the Microsoft Windows 95 and/or Microsoft Windows 3.1 operating systems. Thus, engineers and scientists can choose when they want to upgrade knowing their investment is safe.
Microsoft Windows 98 delivers a number of enhancements for measurement and automation applications, including new communication protocols, improved stability, and improved hardware support. New hardware products -- including data acquisition, computer-based instruments, and GPIB hardware for instrument control -- offer engineers and scientists new and more capable tools for measurement and automation applications with Microsoft Windows 98-based PCs.
