VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 1998-- Rainmaker(TSE:RNK.) Rainmaker Digital Pictures Corp. announces that effective June 23, 1998 the Company's name was changed to Rainmaker Entertainment Group Ltd. (the "Company"). Common shares of Rainmaker Entertainment Group Ltd. will commence trading under the new name on The Toronto Stock Exchange on July 02, 1998, and will continue trading under the ticker symbol 'RNK'.
The new name of the corporate group reflects its mandate of diversifying the Company's product and service offering beyond traditional digital post production services, while augmenting the current fee-for-service revenue structure. Rainmaker Entertainment Group will focus on growing its core Post and Effects businesses while simultaneously exploring opportunities to build a broader base of complementary operations across the entertainment industry.
