Aon Corporation Announces Agreement in Principle to Acquire Auto Insurance Specialists, Inc

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 1998--Aon Corporation (Aon) today announced that it has reached an agreement in principle to acquire Auto Insurance Specialists, Inc. (AIS). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Hermosa Beach, California and operating out of 16 offices throughout California, AIS specializes in offering preferred, standard and non-standard auto insurance coverage to a broad spectrum of risk profiles.

The transaction is subject to satisfactory completion of due diligence, approval by the parties' respective boards of directors, execution of definitive agreements and requisite regulatory approvals.
