OpenCon Systems Inc. Introduces new OCS' HDSL Products at SuperComm '98

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 1998--OpenCon Systems (OCS) Inc. today introduced OCS' High-Bit Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL) products that provide 8070 more loop reach over Standard Carrier Serving Area (CSA) specified loop lengths, versus the competition. On display in Booth No. 873, OCS' HDSL products are the newest additions to the OCS consumer product line.
OCS' HDSL units use state-of-the-art echo-cancelling and equalizing technologies, which provide crosstalk immunity and high transmission quality (BER 10-10). The OCS HDSL benefits include low cost T1/E1 transport with fast T1/E1 provisioning, while providing additional subscriber voice channels (extensions) in high-fill cable sheaths. Integrated OA&M network management capabilities provide extensive remote management, monitoring and diagnostics from a PC-based Graphical User Interface (GUI).
As OCS expands its market presence from its base in Communication Professional Services and TMN Software Products, the new corporate initiative it has taken with the introduction of leading edge OCS' HDSL Products, once again places OCS in the forefront of the communications industry.
The OCS HDSL products, HDSL Central Office Unit (HDSL-CU) and the HDSL Remote Unit (HDSL-RU) provide selectable nx56/64 Kbps speeds for voice, data, video and image applications.
